"After searching Open Table for the perfect New Year's Eve dinner, we chose Charcoal because the menu was complex, without being complicated; & elegant, without being fussy. Charcoal delivered on all accounts from pre-dinner cocktails & small bites through dessert. Our server suggested a couple of items the chef prepared special for the evening and they were outstanding. We loved the: bacon wrapped dates with concord grape reduction, oxtail marmalade with bone marrow, and lamb 3-ways (tartar, ragout, grilled loin). Service was attentive & helpful. Many good wines by the glass. Interior is warm & inviting."
